Dark Clouds Linger: Tinubu Faces Trial at Code of Conduct Tribunal
Governor Bola Tinubu of Lagos State is now facing trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal for allegedly operating a foreign account, management of private business and accepting bribe. The governor’s main challenger in this month’s election, Mr. Funso Williams has also been granted leave by a high court in Abuja to apply for a judicial review of the decision of INEC to allow Gov. Tinubu to seek re-election. And as the appeal against the judgement of a Federal High Court Abuja to stop Gov. James Ibori of Delta State got underway at the Court of Appeal in Abuja yesterday, the governor’s supporters and antagonists clashed at the court’s premises, leaving several people injured.
