THE misunderstanding between the Skypower Aviation Handling Company (SAHCOL) and its parent-company, Nigeria Airways, deepened on Wednesday as another six key officers of the handling firm were redeployed to the ailing national carrier.
The redeployment came five days after SAHCOL’s General Manager, Olu Owolabi, was placed on compulsory leave.
The said key officers’ redeployment to airways, according to sources, is meant to frustrate them out of service as they are professionals in cargo handling and not in airline management.
It was gathered that the airways management, apparently aware that the airline may not survive in the face of all adds, resorted to taking it out on SAHCOL which it saw as a threat following the handling firm’s rising profile.
The airways management has since posted officers from the airline to replace those redeployed from SAHCOL.
