Woman, 38, Electrocuted

A 38 year-old woman, Nse Sunday, who resides at Itire, a surbub of Lagos was on Sunday electrocuted while trying to open a fridge.

A statement signed by the Lagos State Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO) Mr. Emmanuel Ighodalo, a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) stated that one Wisdom Sunday, reported the incident of the electrocution at Itire police station at about 5.15 pm on thed ay of the incident.

He said that investigationrevealed that the deceased was trying to open a fridge not knowing that it was faulty.

He said that in the process, she got electrocuted.

The PPRO disclosed that the case was under investigation.

In another development,a 64-year-old mother, Mrs. Olamidejo Abiodun, and her daughter, Miss Adedun Gbadebo, (20) who resides at Bariga, lost their lives as a result of a substance used to injure them by her son, Abiodun and his girl friend, during a scuffle.

Ighodalo stated that after the scuffle, the two deceased fell unconscious and later died in a private hospital at Ikorodu Lagos. He said the corpse of the deceased have been deposited at the two Ikorodu General Hospital for autopsy.

He stressed that the two suspects have been arrested and are currently assisting the police in their investigation.
