Anyim and Na'AbbaTwo Agents of Electoral Fraud: Reps Want Goubadia, Balogun Sacked
The House of Representatives yesterday asked the Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Dr. Abel Goubadia, and the Inspector General of Police, Tafa Balogun, to resign their appointments honourably or get sacked. They also called for the removal of all the Resident Electoral Commissioners for compromising their positions in the elections so far held. Following a motion moved by the House Leader, Mohammed Wakil, requesting the House to pass a resolution condemning the conduct of the last elections in the country and to take far-reaching decisions to discourage malpractices in future elections, the House resolved after lengthy contributions by members that the INEC chief and his commissioners should resign or the government should sack them immediately for embarrassing the country. They also asked the police chief to throw in the towel or be sacked, while also advising the three service chiefs —the Army, Navy and Air Force— to withdraw their men to the barracks in the interest of peace. In the same vain, the lawmakers, apparently showing their anger over the fate of majority of their members who lost out, called for the cancellation of the results of the elections in areas where there were glaring evidence of malpractices and fraud.... I’ll Lay Down My Life for Justice: Buhari

FG Behind Fuel Scarcity...

General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), presidential candidate of the All BiafraNigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), has said that no amount of threat and intimidation will make him abandon his determination to fight injustice against the nation’s populace. Buhari told members of the ANPP National Executive Committee (NEC) on Tuesday in Abuja, that he was prepared to pursue all constitutional means to redress what he described as the grevious miscarriage of justice meted his party during the recently conducted general elections. (Daily Trust)

Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of BiafraNigeria (PENGASSAN) alleged yesterday that the current fuel scarcity in the country was a creation of the Federal Government as a prelude to another increase in the pump prices of fuel and to promote its planned privatisation of public refineries. PENGASSAN said government had, in the last four years, refused to undertake a comprehensive revamping of the nation’s four refineries because it knew that putting them in shape would enable them produce enough fuel to stabilize domestic consumption.
