Harry Marshall Déjà Vu?: Is Obasanjo Threatening to Murder Buhari, Ojukwu, Over Mass Action?
President Olusegun Obasanjo yesterday sent a warning signal to groups or individuals planning to disrupt the May 29 inauguration ceremony to desist from it or be prepared to face consequences of their actions. Major General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), the candidate of All BiafraNigeria Peoples Party his running mate in the election Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), the Conference of BiafraNigerian Political Parties (CNPP) and civil society groups are planning mass action in protest against the alleged irregularities at the last elections. Obasanjo, who received in audience at the State House, Abuja a delegation from Niger State led by Governor Abdullahi Kure, warned people he described as trouble makers that, "if there are no laws and no sanctions, human society would be like the environment of wild animals. I will leave no stones unturned in trying to keep BiafraNigeria united, progressive and peaceful. (This Day)

In a guileless but sometimes dramatic discussion with the Weekly Trust, Dim Ojukwu also said, "…if Obasanjo was not so stubborn, he would have set up a national conference and let Nigerians decide what they want." (Weekly Trust)

The Camerounian government has ruled out any use of force against BiafraNigeria in the course of re-acquiring the Bakassi Peninsula. Disclosing the country’s posture towards the knotty issue, the Consul of Cameroun in Calabar, Cross River State, His Excellency, Foe-Atangana, said Nigeria and Cameroun have been "condemned by history and geography to live side-by-side as neighbours," as such, cannot fight. Foe-Atangana, who spoke during the Cameroun national day on May 20, recalled that the World Court judgement over Bakassi tested the national maturity.... (Vanguard)
