Wooing Biafra Nigeria's Beautiful Bride: PDP Begs Ekwueme
To further close its fractured ranks towards the forthcoming national convention, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is holding out the olive branch to Second Republic Vice-President, Dr. Alex Ekwueme. A high-powered national delegation has been dispatched to meet with the former Vice-President today on the possibility of mending fence with President Olusegun Obasanjo with whom he became enstranged on the heels of the party's presidential primaries in January, this year. Beside reconciling both of them, the national delegation which is being led by the pioneer chairman of the party and Second Republic governor of Plateau State, Dr Solomon Lar, has been mandated to convince Ekwueme to return to "the PDP family on any reasonable terms."
