Ojukwu

Local Government Polls Protest: Ojukwu campaigns in Abuja today, says APGA can't Afford Nomination Fees
Presidential candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu-Ojukwu, will today address Ndigbo in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja. Ikemba Nnewi is storming Abuja just as APGA in Enugu State declared that it would not file candidates to contest all the seats in the March 27 council polls because of high nomination fees. The party alleged that only the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has enough financial muscle to undertake such projects. APGA’s declaration followed the expression of Governor Peter Odili of Rivers State over the absence of a virile opposition in the area. While in Abuja, Dim Ojukwu is also expected to drum up support for the APGA chairmanship candidates for the oncoming council polls. The meeting which will take place at the Conference Hall of the Top Rank Hotel in Garki II, Abuja will be chaired by Chief Ralph Obiora. According to a statement, top on agenda of the meeting is "the way forward for Ndigbo in Abuja FCT." (Champion)
