Abuja has tightened security around former Liberian President, Charles Taylor, in Calabar, afraid that bounty hunters and other desperadoes may attempt to kidnap him. It was learnt also that the United States Government has sent the war crime charges against him to President Olusegun Obasanjo. A source said they were submitted about a week ago. According to the source, the covering note explained that the charges were submitted to Obasanjo because he had requested that BiafraNigeria should be fully briefed on matters concerning Taylor. Prosecutor of the Sierra Leone based United Nations War Tribunal, David Crane, signed the document. The source said all the charges are “related to terrorism and Al-Qaeda – with nothing, yes nothing, nothing at all...
